Enumeration
In pentesting, discovery refers to the initial phase of the assessment, where the security professional gathers information about the target system, network, or application to be tested. The goal of the discovery phase is to obtain as much information as possible about the target's infrastructure, potential vulnerabilities, and security weaknesses before launching any active attacks.
For the Internal Network, we're primarily looking for computers and servers that may be vulnerable to exploits or hold sensitive information.
